Subject: Navy SEAL Shane "Scavenger" O'Brian

Mission: Seduce and satisfy Lark Sommers!

Lark Sommers's dry spell is officially a sex-starved desert. Since taking over her mom's quirky coffee shop in Nowhere, Idaho—putting her own career on permanent hold—Lark's been, well, miserable. But her friends have a plan…one that starts with a superhot guy with a rockin' hard bod.

US Navy SEAL Shane O'Brian has no clue he's being set up. All he knows is that Lark does incredible things to his libido. Still, Shane can't quite bring himself to tell her what he does for a living. After all, their risqué business is temporary—no strings, no falling in love.

Especially when there's no way this SEAL would ever be tempted into anything more than a sexy little fling…

Oh, my.

He was gorgeous.

Wasn’t he gorgeous?

She thought so, but the room had taken a nice, slow spin so which she was sure accounted for the sudden dizziness filling her head and the odd tightness in her belly. Resting her hand on the doorframe, Lark blinked a couple of times so she could see him more clearly.

And oh, boy, was she glad she did.

Because she’d been right. He was gorgeous. Sara had been right, he definitely had a little Greek god in there somewhere.

Tall, close to a foot over her own five-four, he a swimmer’s build. Broad shoulders, a slender waist and long, long legs. The kind of body that would look might sweet naked but for a gleaming coat of oil.

His dark brown hair was cut super short, the top spiked in a way that looked like he’d ran his hands through it’s thickness while it was wet and left it at that. Unlike Sara’s round sweetness, her brother’s face was narrow, with slashing brows and a full mouth.

Oh, that mouth. Those lips. Mmm. Lark wet her lips while imagining doing the same to his. She was pretty sure she could spend hours nibbling on that bottom lip of his and still not be satisfied.

She’d bet if he were doing the nibbling, her satisfaction would be guaranteed. She didn’t know if it was all the talk of sex today, or if he was simply the most desirable man she’d ever seen in her life. Either or both got credit for the images flooding her mind.

The two of them, naked. Oh yeah, she’d bet he was even better naked. Long, lean and luscious, he’d know what to do with his body. Better yet, he’d know what to do with hers. She’d bet he could do things she’d only read about in those sexy romance novels.

Lark and Shane, Oh My!   Lark, A Navy SEAL, is, of course, uber-sexy. He believes in what he does, even at the cost of his family and home.    Lark, had to love her - she is independent and responsible but is yearning for love.  Ms Weber successfully created a tale that had me believing the characters and the story.  I laughed and cried and cheered on the characters to get their HEA.  There is a sense of family throughout this book - that truly appealed to me.  Lark gave up her career to help run her mom's coffee shop.  Shane, although estranged from some of his family, still loves and supports them and would do anything for them.  Together, they are amazing!  I have read a couple of the previous books in this series, and some characters from the previous books are mentioned, this can be read as a stand alone. However, since Ms. Weber tends to write these super sexy and hot stories, why wouldn't you read the rest? I plan on catching up with the rest of the series real soon!  (received copy for honest review)

"Here All Along" (Christa McHugh) ★★★★ with GIVEAWAY!!

Here All Along
Kelly Brothers #7
By: Crista McHugh
Releasing August 26, 2015

Can best friends become lovers while the cameras are rolling?

Movie star Gideon Kelly has always harbored a secret crush for his long-time friend and assistant, Sarah. One sizzling kiss is enough to convince him she’s the only woman for him, and he’ll do anything to prove to her they have all the makings of an epic Hollywood romance.

Sarah Holtz rose to stardom as a child only to crash and burn in her late teen years. Gideon was there to help put the pieces of her life back together, and she now relishes her life far away from the paparazzi flashes. Her need for privacy is the one thing holding her back from exploring something more with him. When a video of their kiss goes viral, she’s left wondering if he’s worth the risk of stepping back into the spotlight to become his leading lady.

“What’s wrong, Red?”
“What makes you think anything’s wrong?” she asked without looking at him.
“You only eat yellow M&Ms when you’re upset.”
She snapped her head up and stared at him. “You were out late last night.”
“I was dancing.” He rose from the mat and rolled it up. “I’m allowed to have fun, aren’t I? Or is that not on my schedule?”
The slight flare of her nostrils let him know he’d pushed her buttons, but she didn’t say anything.
“Don’t worry, Red, I’m still a mass of sexual frustration.”
That earned him the stink-eye. She tucked her mat under her arm and went back into the villa.
And he was stupid to follow her, even after she’d made it clear she was pissed at him. “Red?”
She spun around so quickly, he collided with her. His arms reflexively reached to steady her, and before he could stop himself, he’d pulled her against him.
The next few seconds pulsated with a mix of fear, attraction, and frustration. Her eyes widened, and her hands pressed against his chest. But she didn’t push him away. At least, not at first. Her bottom lip trembled, and her gaze wavered between his eyes and his mouth. Then, as though she’d managed to put her shields back into place, she closed her eyes and wiggled free from him.
Damn it! One day, she’d give into temptation. One day, she’d give him permission to prove how good they’d be together. One day, he’d be free to tell her the contents of his heart.
But until then, he had to be patient and wait for the sign that she’d be open to it all.
“Did you tell Gabe who I was?”
“What do you mean?”
She rubbed her arm and kicked at the stairs leading back into the villa. “He called me Sage last night.”
That motherfu—
Gideon dug his hands into his palms to keep from blurting out the vicious words streaming through his mind. Practical jokes, he could handle. One-upmanship was part of the acting game. But he refused to stand back while Gabe harassed Sarah. “I’ll have a talk with him when I arrive on the set.”
“No, please, don’t make a big deal about it.”
“But it obviously upset you.” He tilted her chin up until she was looking at him. “Or was there another reason why all the yellow M&Ms were missing?”
“Just be discreet. I like my life the way it is now.”
“So I’m not in danger of losing my favorite assistant?”
She covered his hand with her own and pulled it away from her chin. “Not unless I discover Mackinzie Donavan in your bed.”
The acid in her voice told him she knew about his escapades last night. “We just went dancing. Scout’s honor.”
“Then you don’t want to see what ended up on the Internet last night.” She turned and strolled back into the villa with a gentle reminder. “You’re the one who doesn’t want to give Donna Carlson anything to use against you.”
He raked his fingers through his hair and gathered up his yoga mat. By the time he went inside, she’d already disappeared into her room, so he sidetracked to the computer station Jason and Raul had set up. “What’s this about pictures of me from last night being on the web?”
Jason typed in a few words and flipped the screen around to show him.
He stared at the picture of Mackinzie straddling his lap and kissing him. The drunken nausea from last night made an encore appearance.

Jesus, I’m in hot water.

"Here All Along" is Gideon and Sarah's story.  Gideon, a movie star and Sarah, his assistant, work very closely together.  Despite the sizzling attraction, Sarah is hesitant to acknowledge or act on it due to issues from her past.  I enjoyed Gideon and Sarah and all the bumps along the way to their finally submitting to the love that is so evident between the two.  Sarah is a strong woman, or at least tries to be.  Gideon recognizes this and is terrific - he's sweet and kind and patient with her.  At times, both characters frustrated the heck out of me, but that only made it more realistic as their actions mirrored what often happens when one is afraid.  Although I haven't read this entire series, I've read a few of the books and have enjoyed them all.  I don't think it's necessary to read all the rest to enjoy this one, however, I would recommend them as Ms. McHugh has written a delightful series that anyone looking for a romance tale that has little angst and romance galore would surely enjoy.   (received copy for honest review)
